ROCKWOOL Sound Insulation Slab is made from stone wool with a non-directional fibre orientation that traps sound waves and dampens vibrations.
The solution can be used in walls, floors and lofts to control acoustics. ROCKWOOL Sound Slab has achieved Quiet MarkTM approval, an independent certificate that technically assesses and certifies the quietest solutions to unwanted noise.
In addition to its acoustic insulation properties, Sound Slab has achieved a Euroclass A1 fire rating and is capable of withstanding temperatures in excess of 1000°C.
The insulation slabs are easy to cut and fit around cables, pipes, sockets and services. Plus a flexible edge supports friction fitting without leaving gaps or cracks.
The new 140mm Sound Insulation Slab is specifically designed for external timber frame construction. The new product has a dual benefit, providing acoustic performance plus, with a 0.035 W/mK lambda, it can be used thermally.
