Good detailing at the wall/floor junction is essential to reduce thermal bridging. By placing an upstand of Unilin (previously Xtratherm) Perimeter strip (XT/STR) insulation 50mm thick around the external and internal wall/floor junctions, a robust detail is created.

Ensure top of perimeter strip is level with top of floor finish. Seal around any service penetrations
